Jane Osti is a renowned pottery artist and Cherokee National Treasure, who skillfully integrates pottery methods acquired from her mentor and friend, Anna Sixkiller Mitchell. Through her studies, Jane mastered the intricate language of motifs, form, and design that characterizes Southeastern Native pottery.
Jane Osti's art can be found in the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian and many other prestigious museums and galleries. Her work as earned esteemed recognition at prestigious events such as the SWAIA Santa Fe Indian Market, Cherokee Art Market, Eiteljorg Indian Market and Festival, Trail of Tears Art Show, and Red Earth Festival. In 2005, she was honored as a Cherokee National Treasure for her pottery, and she was also distinguished as a Master Artist by the Five Civilized Tribes Museum.
